CHKDSK running at every BOOT for specific drive.

Every time when you boot your PC, CHKDSK runs for particular drives(c:,d:,e:,f: ...). If you let it run completely and then immediately or later restart PC, CHKDSK runs again. The cause is your drive is dirty..

The fix for the above solution is simple. Just follow step below :

1) Click on START --> RUN.

 2) In Run dialog box type cmd and Press Enter.

 3) In cmd prompt type fsutil dirty query d: (where d: is dirty drive).

 4) It will return message where Volume d: IS Dirty or NOT Dirty.


5) If the Volume is Dirty then type chkdsk d: /f /x.

6) After that finishes repeat STEP 3.


7) If it will show NOT Dirty then reboot your system and you wont see CHKDSK again..

How to Block websites in Windows XP....

There are many reasons to block websites on office computers or home computers.

This method will block websites on all your web browsers but for that you need to EDIT your HOSTS FILE.

What is HOSTS FILE ??

The hosts file is a computer file used in an operating system to map hostnames to IP addresses.
The hosts file is a plain-text file and is traditionally named hosts.

Purpose of HOSTS FILE -

The hosts file is one of several system facilities to assist in addressing network nodes in a computer network. It is a common part in a operating system's Internet Protocol (IP) implementation, and serves the function of translating human-friendly hostnames into numeric protocol addresses, called IP addresses, that identify and locate a host in an IP network.

Follow these STEPS :-->

1) Click on START --> RUN.

2) Type   C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts and Press OK.

                        
3) Open this HOSTS file with NOTEPAD.

                                            
4) Locate the line 127.0.0.1 localhost

                                            
5) To block the website orkut.com for example, just add this text under 127.0.0.1 localhost:
          127.0.0.1 orkut.com
          127.0.0.1 www.orkut.com
You can add as many sites any site, However you will need to prefix it with "127.0.0.1".

6) Save the file.

Now Orkut will be blocked in all web browser. This is an advanced but easy method to block a websites.

Convert a FAT partition into NTFS.

FAT---> NTFS

Note: Backup your any important data on the volume that you want to convert before you start the conversion else you may lost ur important data or it may corrupt.

Follow these Steps --->

1) Click on Start --> All Programs --> Accessories --> Command Prompt.

OR

Click on Start --> Run --> Type cmd --> Prerss Ok.


2) It will open command prompt.Then type following command

convert driveletter: /fs:ntfs

Eg: convert c:/fs:ntfs

( If the operating system is on the drive that you are converting, you will be
prompted to schedule the task. When you restart the computer because the
conversion cannot be completed while the operating system is running.)

3) you will get following message on command prompt

The type of the file system is FAT.
Enter the current volume label for drive drive letter

4) Enter volume label of drive and press Enter.

5) It will convert your drive into NTFS and you receive the following message
at the command prompt:

Conversion complete!!

Important Once you convert a drive or partition to NTFS, you cannot simply convert it back to FAT or FAT32. You will need to reformat the drive or partition which will erase all data, including programs and personal files, on the partition.

Create Diffeernt Lists for Friends --

1)Click the FRIENDS option present on the left hand side of the screen on the homepage of your Profile.

2)Now, on the top of the screen you will find the Heading of that page to be named as FRIENDS and in front of it you will find an Option named as EDIT FRIENDS.

3)Click on EDIT FRIENDS.

4)Now you will get CREATE A LIST option.

5)Name the new list and add people those you want to ignore....

6)NoW open chat list and you will get two list one is normal and other one who is created by you with ppl u want to ignore

7)Now you can go offline for ignore ppl list and chat with others....

How to Login to Multiple Accounts?

Now a days everybody open multiple accounts of same email provider and while checking mails, You will have to log-out the previous account and again log in with new account.

TURN ON u r PC in Few Seconds.....

1) CLICK ON START->RUN AND TYPE REGEDIT.

2) THIS WILL OPEN REGISTREY EDITOR.

3) Now look for My Computer -> HKEY_LOACAL_MECHINE ->
SYSTEM -> CurrentControlSet-> Control -> ContentIndex

4) In ContentIndex find key " Startup Delay " and Double Click on it.

5) Now in BASE choose DECIMAL and Change the
DEFAULT value from 4800000 (75300:hexadecimal) to 40000.

6) After Close the Registery Editor and Restart Computer...

SET "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to 30 FROM DEFAULT VALUE 4.

4) NOW RIGHT CLCIK ANYWHERE AND SELECT NEW -> INTEGER AND NAME IT "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" AND SET ITS VALUE TO "0".
5) NOW EXIT FROM BROWSER AND REOPEN IT. SEE THE DIFFERENCE.........

Increase your INTERNET SPEED..............

1) GOTO MY COMPUTER-> RIGHT CLICK -> MANAGE ->-> DEVICE MANAGER.

2) IN DEVICE MANAGER GO TO PORTS(COM & LPT) -> Communication PortS. DOUBLE CLCIK ON IT AND OPEN.

3) YOU CAN SEE COMMUNICATION PORTS PROPERTIES.

4) GO TO THE PORT SETTINGS TAB:----

5) AND MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES
INCREASE YOUR "BITS PER SECOND" to "128000".
& ""FLOW CONTROL" CHANGE TOO "HARDWARE".
